Aileen "Tootsie" Price, aged 76, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019. She was born across the creek from the Old Maggie Mill at Servilla, TN, on April 5, 1942, to the late Ella Alene Lee Price and the Reverend Willie Lloyd Price. Tootsie came into the world to hard working people who helped settle the land, build up homesteads, and helped add to the growth of a wonderful part of Tennessee in Polk County.
Tootsie was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Lily Smith Lee and Thomas "Tom" Lee; paternal grandparents, Bessie Hall Price and Joseph "Joe" Price; her parents; husband Wayne Price; her sister-in-law, Cynthia Hafley Price; her wonderful brother Gene "Catfish" Price; her beautiful daughter-in-law, Lisa D. Snyder; her mother and father-in-law, Elma Bell Price and Ernest Price; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Price Hayes and Gene Hayes; brother-in-law Robert Gregg; and, brother-in-law, Dave Davenport.
Tootsie leaves behind the two greatest loves of her life, her son, Joseph Derek Price, of Chattanooga, and son, Pastor Richard Douglas Snyder and his wife, Lori, of Cleveland; grandchildren, Brittany Danielle Snyder-Powers and husband, Cody Powers, of Cleveland, Jeremy Douglas Snyder of Cleveland ; two great-granddaughters, Ellie and Everly Powers of Cleveland; sisters Faye Price Davenport of Canton, GA, Wanda Price Melton and husband, Tommy Melton, of Etowah; brother Bobby Price and Annie, of Athens; many nieces and nephews, aunts and cousins, and old friends she has known since the 1950s.
Funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2019 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:30 Sunday prior to the service.
