Alice Odell Price McPhail, 91, a lifelong resident of Athens passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at NHC. She was a daughter of the late Allen and Ethel Henderson Price and a member of McMahan Calvary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, J.P. McPhail; son-in-law, Robert Tallent; brothers, James "Jim", Clyde, Arthur "Cotton" and Edward "Chuck" Price.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Betty J. Tallent of Athens, Peggy and Jerald Ervin of Niota; son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Sandy McPhail of Niota; grandchildren and spouses, Jeff and Connie Young, Brian and Kim Ervin, Paige and David Cantrell, Shannon and Joseph Vance and Casey McPhail; great-grandchildren, Matthew Young and girlfriend Madolin Vic, Amison Young and Fiancé Jared King, Lauren Cantrell, Landon Ervin and Hayden Vance; sister-in-law, Ruth Price of Lenoir City.
Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 2, 2017 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Creasman officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at the funeral home and proceed to Pond Hill Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
Jeff Young, Matthew Young, Brian Ervin, Joseph Vance, David Cantrell and Keith Price will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Landon Ervin and Hayden Vance.
