Alton Frederick Lankford, 51, of Delano, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Woods Memorial Hospital in Etowah, TN. A native of Anderson, IN and had lived in McMinn Co. for the past 13 years. He was employed at Rubber Maid in Maryville, TN in tool and die and a former employee of Athens Products in Athens, TN. He was of the Baptist faith, and was preceded in death by his father, William Zebedee Lankford; and one brother, Ronnie Lankford Survivors include his wife Sheila Mae Johnson Lankford of Delano, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Renae and Joshua Grant Brown of Riceville, TN; two sons, Aaron Paul Lankford and Joshua Grant Lankford both of Delano, TN; mother, Linda Cline-Drew Lankford of IN; one grandson, Jacob Adam Brown of Riceville, TN; two sisters, Gloria Lankford and Patricia Lankford both of IN; one brother, Randy Lankford of IN; mother-in-law, Doris Maxine Farmer of IN and Darrell Lee Johnson of IN. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 18th, 2-4 p.m. in the North Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at a later date in Indiana.
