Arietta Letha Cantrell, age87 ofEnglewood, TN, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015 at NHC Healthcare in Athens. She was a native of Monroe County, TN, (Coker Creek) and thedaughter of the late Fred C. and Dewey Mae Shaw Peel. Arietta enjoyed sewing, gardening, quilting and crocheting and was a member of Wildwood Baptist Church. She was employed for 25 yearsin the enamel Dept. of Athens Stove Works. She was preceded in deathby her parents listed above, husband; Ollie Reed Cantrell, daughter; Evelyn Chambers, son; Steve Cantrell and wife Mary, brothers; Dillard and James Peel, and sister; Imogene Walker.

Survivors include her children;Lola and Craig Spurling of Knoxville, TN,Marie and Barry Pitsker of Bella Vista, AK,Margaret and Foster Bohannon of Athens, TN,Vickie and David Stiles of Athens, TN,David and Donna Cantrell of Etowah, TN, andJim Cantrell of Englewood, TN, grandchildren;Mitchel and Cindy Bohannon, Julie Moore, Benjamin Cantrell, Nicholas and Cassie Cantrell, Eric and Karlie Stiles, Elizabeth and Ben Johnson, great grandchildren; Bailey Moore and Samuel Bohannon, special son in-law;Lyle Chambers of Englewood, TN, sisters;Wilda Beaty of WI,Verda Cantrell of FL,Nettie Yarber of GA , brother;Jerry Peel ofFL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August, 31, 2015 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.Dr. Bill Vest will officiate the service.The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m., to 2:00 p.m., Monday, prior to the service.Interment to follow service at McMinn Memory Gardens.Sons and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family asked that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Wildwood Baptist Church, 1045 Hwy 39E. Englewood, TN 37329
