Arthur "Sonny" Duggan, 67, of Englewood passed away Monday, August 19, 2013 at UT Medical Center following a brief illness. Sonny was a good cook and enjoyed feeding friends and family; he attended Dixon Ave. Baptist Church and worked at various jobs throughout his life. He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Atha Duggan of Jamestown, TN; Maternal mother, Lola Allmon Duggan; Paternal father, Newton Duggan; brothers and sisters, Spencer, Jean, Chattie and Katherine; half brothers and sisters, Gilbert Coleman, James, Grace, Bobbie, Lois, Mozella and Andy.He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Virginia I. Duggan; sons and daughters-in-law, Dusty and Ashley Duggan of Etowah, Artie and spouse of Pleasanton, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and JoAnn Duggan of Jamestown, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Rush of London, KY, Ella "Jay" Manis of Oneida, TN, Pat and Lonnie Brown, Charollet and Junior Conatser of Jamestown, TN; other brothers and sisters, Ralph, Dolly, Edna and Bertha.Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2013 in the South Chapel, of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Watson officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 22nd at the funeral home and proceed to Mars Hill Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m., committal service.
