Arvil "Eddie" Mullinax Jr., 52, of Englewood, passed away Monday, June 14, 2010 at his residence. A native of Dayton, Ohio and a resident of McMinn County for most of his life, he was a member of North Englewood Missionary Baptist Church. He was a former employee of J. M. Huber, and was a 1976 graduate of McMinn Central High School. He is preceded in death by his father, Arvil E. Mullinax, Sr., a stepfather, Duane Shoffeitt, and a great-nephew, Jalyn Hood. Survivors include wife, Sandra Mullinax of Englewood, TN; daughter, Amber Allen of Englewood, TN; step-sons Chris Harris of Chattanooga, TN, Glenn Goins and Destin Goins of South Carolina; mother Sue Shoffeitt of Englewood, TN; granddaughters, Kelyn and Cassidy Allen; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Ronnie Bain of Athens, TN; brother, Walt Shoffeitt of Englewood, TN; one niece and spouse, Karen and Richard Robinson, one nephew and spouse, Jerreth and Mary Beth Bain, one great niece, Haven Robinson and one great nephew, Chandler Hood. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Sunrise Cemetery in Englewood with the Rev. Benny Goodman and Rev. Doug Coleman officiating. There will be no formal visitation held. Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
