Audrey Jane Moats Peters,85, of Athens, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at her residence.She was a member of Ocoee Missionary Baptist Church and a daughter of the late General and Lizzie Moats. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Albert Peters; her parents, listed above; one son, Kenny Ray Peters; and 3 brothers, Rev. Clyde "Sonny" Moats, Kenneth Moats, and G.W. Moats.Survivors include her brother, Clarence Moats of Cleveland, TN; son and girlfriend, Albert "Jr." Peters and Kay Meadows of Athens, TN; daughters and son-in-law, Laura Jane and Lloyd Hicks of Athens, TN and Kathy Peters; grandchildren and spouses, Sharon and Johnathon Rogers, Beth and Robert Collins, and Jim Hicks; great-grandchildren, Mickey Crowder, Laura Collins, Sarah Rogers, Sierra Collins and Jeremiah Rogers; numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Gary "Butch" Moats and Eddie Trentham officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at Chestuee Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 for the 11:00 a.m., committal service. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
