Barbara Watts Smith, 76, Green Cove Springs, Florida, known to her loving family as "Nana," passed away Friday, January 10, 2014.

She was born in Etowah, Tennessee on June 2, 1937, one of three children. She married Harold Joseph Smith and they lived together in San Francisco, CA before relocating to Jacksonville, Florida and then to their current home in Green Cove Springs, Florida. She was predeceased by her parents D.L. and Edith Buckner Watts, her brother David Watts and her sister Saundra Watts.

Barbara was a manager with Bell South Telephone Company until she retired in 1991. Barbara was a member of Daughters of the Nile, Khem Temple No. 85 and the Eastern Star, Scottish Chapter #295Jacksonville, FL. She was also a mother advisor for several years with the International Order of Rainbow Girls in Green Cove Springs, FL. She attended Pinewood Presbyterian Church, Middleburg, FL.

Barbara is survived by her husband Harold Smith and two children: Karen Gibson, of Tallahassee, FL, and Tony Smith of Acworth, GA. and their spouses, Robert Gibson and Tammy Smith. She was the proud and loving grandmother of two grandchildren Zachary Gibson of Tallahassee, FL and Jordan Smith of Acworth, GA.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow the funeral at Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Shriner's Crippled Children Hospital (contact: (800) 241-4438 or e-mail donorrelations@shrinenet.org).
