Barry Gordon Brooks, 61, of Englewood, TN, passed away, Monday, September 30, 2013 at his residence. A son of Wanda Cochran Brooks and the late John Brooks. He retired from CSX Transportation and a veteran of the US Navy. Preceded in death by his son, Dylan Brooks; and step-son, Brandon Williams. Survivors include his mother, Wanda Cochran Brooks; 3 sons, Joshua Brooks of Chattanooga, TN, Logan Brooks of Englewood, TN and Zach Brooks of Englewood, TN; 1 granddaughter, Morgan Armstrong; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Denise Brooks of Englewood, TN; sister, Pam Brooks of Englewood, TN; niece, Lacey Brooks Powell; great-niece, Alahna Powell. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Mars Hill Cemetery with Rev. Gail Crabtree officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
