Barry Thomas West, 68 of Etowah passed away Saturday January 17, 2015 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church and was a member of the Etowah Watch Club. He also served in the Army as a Sgt. E6 officer.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents; Thomas and Leoma West; brother, Chuck West

Left to cherish his memories is his wife Brenda West; daughter and son-in-law Kimberli and Derrick Pierce of Etowah; Son, Barry Randall West of Etowah; Grandchildren, Kyler Pierce of Etowah and Chanell Alsobrook-West of Cleveland; and Great-grandchild, Peyton Alsobrook of Cleveland and a sister-in-law, Brenda Glass of Riceville, TN.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday January 20, 2015 in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Leamon officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday January 20, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday January 21, 2015 and proceed to Zion Baptist Church Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. committal service with military honors.
