Benjamin Leon Murrell, 88, of Niota, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at NHC of Athens.A son of the late John Benjamin and Althea Murrell. He was preceded in death by his Parents, listed above; son, Hefton Emery Murrell. Survivors include his Wife, Dorothy Murrell of Niota; Children, Lonnie Wayne Murrell of Dry Prong, LA, Janie Marie Allen of Monroe, LA, Virginia Watkins of Livingston, LA, Edwina Doss of Shreveport, LA and Phillip Norman Murrell of Pineville, LA.Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 1, 2011 at McMinn Memory Gardens, with Bishop Roger Dale Green officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
