Benny Tuggle, 84, of Athens, TN, formally a long-time resident of Etowah, TN passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024.

Benny was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired, as a conductor from the CSX railroad. He loved the outdoors hunting, fishing and camping with his buddies. In his spare time, he especially enjoyed gardening and landscaping. Benny was an avid racing fan, particularly a fan of his bother-in-law, Johnny Rutherford, who won the Indianapolis 500 race three times. Benny took every opportunity he could to take a ride on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Tuggle; grandparents, Ben and Carry Stewart; brother, Johnny.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Tuggle; siblings, "Carolyn", Judy, Phil and Janice; special niece, Staci Tuggle.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
