Bernadine "Nadine" Clendenen Rayburn, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on May 21, 2012. Born June 24, 1930 in Blount County, TN, she lived in Etowah most of her life. She graduated from Etowah High School in 1949 and a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Charles Wallace and Juanita Gudenburr Clendenen, sister-in-law, Joyce Thompson Clendenen and parents Oral and Bessie Spradling Clendenen.She is survived by husband, Charles Edward Rayburn whom she married on December 22, 1951 and they recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She is also survived by son, Gregory Charles Rayburn and daughter and son-in-law, Kamy and Tim Gamble all of Etowah. Two very special grandchildren, Alexandria "Ali" Rayburn and Joseph Rayburn Gamble, brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray Clendenen of Athens, Harry and Shirley Clendenen of Cleveland, Clayton and Bobbie Clendenen of Etowah. Sisters and brothers-in-law, include Betty and Wayne Moses and Peggy and Dane Gaston of Etowah, several nieces and nephews.The family would like to especially thank caregivers Julie Gibson and Joy Gibson for the love and kindness they provided during these difficult months. Also to Amedysis Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2012, in the South Chapel, of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Pierce officiating.Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service.Family and friends will assemble Friday, May 25th at Green Hill Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m., committal service.Pallbearers will be Ray Clendenen, Harry Clendenen, Clayton Clendenen, Wayne Moses, Tim Gamble and Joseph Gamble.In lieu of flowers, family request memorials are sent to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O.
