Bernard A. Beck, Jr., 77, of Athens, TN, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 at UT Medical Center, Knoxville, TN.Bernard was born March 27, 1938 in Waterbury, CT and was the son of the late Bernard and Lena Beck. He served several years in the U.S. Marine Corps and after an honorable discharge was employed as a police officer in Waterbury, CT. Later he became an employee of the MJ Daly Co., as a Sprinkler fitter. In 1980 he started the Active Fire Sprinkler Co., where he served as the President until his retirement in 1998. He was also a member of the VFW Post 5146 of Athens, TN and he is preceded in death by: his Parents, listed above; and son, Kevin Beck.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Colene Beck of Watertown, CT; wife, Cindy Beck of Terryville, CT; brother and sister-in-law,David and Patricia Beck of CT; sister, Lynnia Fiorelli of MD; and several nieces and nephews.
