Bernice Peeler, 79, of Englewood, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 14, 2010 at Woods Memorial Hospital. A resident of McMinn County for most of her life, she was a member of Dixon Avenue Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arvil and Mable Dye Key; her husband, James Peeler; one son, Steve Peeler; and one sister, Marie Dye.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Harold and Linda Peeler and Larry Peeler of Englewood, TN; grandchildren and spouse, Celeste and Chris Watts, Jeff Langston and Cody Peeler; and great-grandchildren, Bryce and Cayleigh Watts.

Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2010 in the South Chapel with the Rev. Allen Watson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 2010 at McMinn Memory Gardens for the committal service.
