Bertha L. Whitener age 90 of Madisonville, passed awayFriday January 15, 2016.She is the daughter of William Andrew Dockery and Emma Dockery. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Marian Dockery, Dillard Dockery and Jim Dockery; sisters, Suzie Mull and May Curtis; and grandchild, Eric Melton.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, James Edward Whitener, Floyd Wayne and Patricia Whitener all of Madisonville; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and John Bryson of Madisonville, and Linda Melton; sister, Margaret Yarber of Cleveland; brother,Glen Ray Dockeryfrom Michigan; and love and life-long friend Dewayne Newman; 6 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; and 1 great-great- grandchild along withseveral nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday January 18, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Watson officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service.Family will assemble Tuesday, January 19, at the funeral home and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11 a.m. committal service.
