Bessie Marie Kirkland, Nichols, Arms, 93 of Delano passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at a healthcare facility in Cleveland. She was born in McMinn County and spent most of her life in Polk and McMinn Counties. She retired from Athens Products; and was a long time Member of Delano Baptist Church.

She was a daughter of the late Luther A. and Iduma Sewell Kirkland; she was also predeceased by her two sisters, Jessie Ruth Yates and Eva Grace Poteet. Bessie is survived by her husband, S. Wallace Arms of Delano; two daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Buddy Smith of Kingston, Sula and Bobby Jenkins of Delano; one grandson, Jason and Laura Jenkins of Delano; two great- grandchildren, Caroline and Catherine Jenkins of Chattanooga; brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Marilyn Kirkland of Cleveland; several loved nieces and nephews; step-children and their spouses, Sam and Rhonda Arms of Ocoee, Kay Arms Crye of Ocoee, Wally and Robin Arms of Delano; also step-grandchildren, Scott, Sara, Zachary, Jacob, Josh, Rachel and Hannah.

Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in the Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with her nephew, Dr. Bruce Yates and Dr. John Powers officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service. The interment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday at Green Hill Cemetery. Phillip Culpepper, Randy Kirkland, Jacob Arms, Josh Arms, David Smith and L.W. Smith will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Perry, Tommy DeBord, David Davis, Bill White, Button Shelton and Charlie Harris.
