Betty Hamby, 91, of Etowah, TN, passed away at Starr Regional Medical Center Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

Betty was a member of Conasauga Baptist Church for 62 years and loved her church family and friends. Betty enjoyed sewing, cooking and loved to travel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carl Hamby; her parents, Ernest and Emma Seay Triplett; sisters, Lillian Higdon, Kathleen Morgan, Bobbie Coleman, Lorene Martin, and Sue Pritchard; brothers, Buster Triplett and Tom Triplett.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Dale Key, Janet and Jody Boggess; granddaughters and spouses, Melissa and Josh Blair, and Kristin and Burnie Burnsed; great-grandchildren, Jamison Blair, Braden Blair, Paisley Burnsed, and Madilynn Blair; sisters; Leona Haney and Nina Reynolds; brother, Darrell Triplett; special friend, Teresa Sliger; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2024, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Best and Rev. Tony Curtis officiating.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Conasauga Cemetery on Monday, September 23nd, for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.

Andy Daugherty, Bobby Triplett, Randy Rayburn, Josh Blair, Christopher Burnsed, Braden Blair and Jamison Blair will be serving as pallbearers.
