Betty Newman, 84, of Etowah, TN passed away Monday, February 14, 2022.

Preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Gerald Newman; parents, James and Camie Stephenson; son, William "Bill" Newman; daughter, Ruth Newman; brothers, James Stephenson, and Don Stephenson; sister, Jackie Price.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dean Newman,  Gerald and Terri Newman, Gene Newman, and Becky Newman; grandchildren and spouses, Becky and Cody Steele, Melissa Rivera, Elizabeth and Josh Hamby, Carrie Newman, Jake Newman, Alexa Newman and Greg Martinez, Alex Newman, Carlie, Angel and Kira Laux, Leyla, Tony and Eric Newman; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandson due in March; sisters, Una Bullock, Billie Patterson and Carol Frost.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Sneed officiating.

Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble Thursday, February 17 ^th at Mars Hill Cemetery for the 10:00 a.m. committal service.
