Betty S. Wright, age 67, of Riceville, passed away, Friday, July 12, 2013, at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Luther C. and Elisa H. Starkey. She was preceded in death by her parents, listed above; son, Michael Williams; 2 step-sons, Rocky and Ricky Wright. Survivors Include Husband: Loys Wright of Riceville, TN; Daughter and son-in-law: Rhonda and Ralph Elkins of Kodak, TN; Son: Chris Williams of Seattle, WA; Step-daughters and son-in-law: Vicki and Mike Thornburg of Riceville, TN; Sharon Tallent of Tellico Plains, TN; Tammy Hester of Athens, TN; Step-son: Brandon Wright of Riceville, TN; Sister and Brother-in-law: Marie and Robert "Bob" Crumlet of Ooltewah, TN; Brother and sister-in-law: Luther and Debbie Starkey of Etowah, TN; and several aunts and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2013, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Leamon and Minister Bill Corn officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2013 and proceed to Eastanallee Cemetery for the committal service. Josh Crumley, Chad Starkey, Mike Thornburg, Clarence Wright, Shannon Wright, and Billy Womac will serve as pallbearers.
