Billie Ruth Bowers Poteet Shadden, 83, of Englewood, TN, passed away on Saturday, May, 16 ^th , 2020. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Ruby (Cook) Bowers.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Melvin "Shorty" Poteet and last husband, Alfred Shadden.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon (Poteet) and Mike Scoggins of Englewood, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Joyce Bowers of Englewood, TN; grandchildren, Brent and wife Emily Scoggins of Murfreesboro, TN, and Julie (Scoggins) and husband Victor Poteet of Athens, TN; great-grandchildren, Abby, Will, and Sam Scoggins of Murfreesboro, TN, and Bree, Annabelle, and Vivienne Poteet of Athens, TN; aunt, Eileen Carver of Englewood, TN.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 19 ^th , 2020 at McMinn Memory Gardens with Dennis Bordwine Officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
