Billy "Bill" Ray Locke, 83, of Etowah passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at his residence. He was a native of McMinn County and son of the late James Orville "Arvil" Locke and Amanda Ellen Blackwell Locke. Preceded in death by his 1st wife, Veda McDaniel Locke; 2nd wife, Ruth Cavett Martin Locke; step-son, Gary Martin; brothers, Milburn, Leonard, Raymond, Clifton and Aaron Locke; sister, Betty Sue Locke.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Rhonda Locke of Tellico Plains, TN, Benny Locke of Benton, TN and Billy Locke of Etowah, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce Atwood of Knoxville, TN, Carolyn and Charles Spurling of Etowah, TN, Ellen and Jacky Burnett of Athens, TN, Pamela Locke of Etowah, TN, Nancy and Jeff Hubbard of Madisonville, TN, Donna and Randy Hieskill of Benton, TN; step-sons, Rod Martin and Kim David Martin; sisters, Mary Lou Hobson and Jerry Lynn Davis brothers, Eugene, Clifford, Fred and Walter Locke; step-daughter-in-law, Debbie Martin; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 21, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Blanchette officiating. Interment will follow service in Unicoi Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 19th in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.
