Blanche Harris Sheffey, 95, of Athens, TN passed away Friday, August 30, 2024.

Blanche was a member of Charleston Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Some of her favorite times were spent with her large loving family. In her spare time, she loved bird watching and going to the beach with her family. Blanche enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and knitting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Avis Sheffey; mother, Lida Harris; father, Calvin Harris; sisters, Mildred Hickman, Geneva Brock; brother, Vernal Harris; son-in-law, Paul Webb.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Dwight Ervin; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Rhea and Mary Ann Sheffey; daughter, Carmen Galyon; daughter, Nancy Webb; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Stan Martin; son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Audrey Sheffey; grandchildren and spouses, Mark and Michelle Ervin, Amy and Stephen Vaughn, Angelia and Rico Silvera, Charles Aaron and Betsy Sheffey, T.J. and Nicole Hooper, Kimberly Webb, Sharon Webb, Rebecca and Andy Houston, Betsy and Thomas Hazelwood, Dustin Sheffey and Amanda Sheffey; great-grandchildren and spouses, Emma and Brandon Lu, Hannah and Matthew Morgan, Brady Ervin, Brian and Kimiko Lunsford, Britney Sheffey, James Sheffey, Justin and Demaris Miller, Cheyenne and Shane Graves, Chase Miller, MaKenna Thurman, Angel and Levi Lanter, Austin Webb, Reagan Houston, Ethan Hazelwood; great-great grandchildren, Jackson Lunsford, Charlie Cicero, Cora Cicero, Neyland Cannon, Ryder Graves, Xander Miller and Gracelynn Lanter; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00p.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Thomas Hazelwood officiating.

Family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at McMinn Memory Gardens on Wednesday, September 4th for the 2:00p.m. committal service.
