Bob A. Cooley, 91, SGT 1ST Class, of Etowah TN passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022 at his residence.

Bob served two tours in the Korean War, and three tours in Vietnam. He was a Bronze Star recipient. He retired from the Army in 1975 after serving 26 years.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Ethel and Burley Cooley; brothers, Fred, Jackie, and EW Cooley; sisters, Margie Smith and Barbara Harmon; daughter, Pam Cooley Merrell.

Survivors include loving wife of 68 years, Mary Gladys Rowland Cooley; brother and sister-in-law, B.W. and Judy Cooley; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Lori Cooley; daughters, Susie Cooley and Kim Martin (David Murphy); son-in-law, Bee Merrell; eight grandkids; seven great-grandkids; three great-great-grandkids; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Minister Louis Rouse, Dennis Bordwine, and Susan Peglow officiating. Bob's son, Scott, will be delivering the eulogy.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 18th at the funeral home and proceed to Green Hill Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
