Obituary

Bobbie L. Coleman, 82, of Etowah, died Monday, May 9, 2011, at Athens Regional Medical Center. A native of Polk County and a resident of Etowah for 70 years, she was a member of Conasauga Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn "Bigboy" Coleman; two sisters, Kathleen Morgan and Lorene Martin; and one brother, Buster Triplett. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Bill Davis of Polk County, and Glenna and Kevin Hearn of Etowah; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sharon Coleman of Calhoun; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lillian Higdon of Houston, Texas, Betty Hamby of Etowah, Sue and Willie Pritchard of Cleveland, Nina Reynolds of Sweetwater, and Leona and Tommy Haney of Etowah; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sonny and Inez Triplett of Athens, and Darrel and Mary Ann Triplett of Lenior City; six grandchildren and their spouses, Susan and Darrell Williams, Will and Michelle Davis, Wesley and Malissa Davis, Dustin Hearn and his fiancé', Elise Harrell, Katie Hearn and Holly Whaley; and seven great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Ross officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday and will proceed to Green Hill Cemetery for the 11 a.m. burial. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
