Bobbie Jean Newman, 82 of Delano, TN passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of McMinn County and lived in Polk County most of her life and daughter of the late Horace and Lenoir Smith.

Preceded in death by her parents, listed above; brothers, Jim and Don Smith and Ogle Blankenship; sister, Beulah Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Floyd Newman of Delano; daughter, Deborah Christy of Delano; 2 grandchildren, Michael Allen Poteet and wife Scarlet of Etowah, and Jeana Leianne Rolle of Biloxi, MS; 2 great-grandchildren, Bryar Morgan and Dusty Savage both of Biloxi, MS; sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Robert Key; special friend, Hoyt Standridge of Delano; special pet, Gracie.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Coghill Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Hatcher officiating.No formal visitation will be held.
