Bobby Don Sanford, age 78 of Etowah, TN, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017. He was a member of North Etowah Baptist Church. Bobby served in the U.S. Army and retired from CSX Railroad. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Cora Sanford and sister-in-law, Dorthy Sanford.

Survivors include wife, Willa Daugherty Sanford of Etowah, TN; sons and daughters-in-laws, Steve Anthony and Teresa Cole Sanford of Etowah, TN and Roger Don and Kathy Hicks Sanford of Delano, TN; brother, Tommy Eugene Sanford; niece, Shauna Sanford Howell; grandchildren, Mark Anthony Sanford, Marcey Sanford Allen and husband Ryan, and Max Bull; great-grandchild, Jace Owen Allen; and special caregivers, Tonia Johnson, Amedisys Hospice, Stephanie, Carrie, Melissa, and Audrey.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2017 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Wade officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday prior to the service. His Sunday School classmates will serve as pallbearers. Family and friends will meet at Green Hill Cemetery, Sunday, September 17, 2017 for the 2:00 p.m. committal service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made out to North Etowah Baptist Church's Children Department renovations, 231 Pennsylvania Ave. Etowah, TN 37331.
