Brenda Joyce Young, 64, of Englewood, TN passed away Monday, September 29, 2014 at the home of her son. She was a daughter of the late Azel and Lucille Torbett. Preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Melvin Lee Young; grandparents, Willie and Lizzie Croft Torbett, and Frank and Arzadoer Hampton.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Stan and Edith Young of Etowah, Jeremy and Carol Young of Athens, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charolette and Doug Rule of Etowah, TN, Sandy and Joe Mason of Athens, TN,

Yulonda and Doyle Cain of Etowah, TN, and Jan and Johnny Hawn of Etowah, TN; brother, Scott Torbett of Etowah, TN; grandchildren, Kayla Garrison Chambers, Brittany Young, Logan Young and fiance Kayla Phillips, Taylor Young and Bailee Young;2 great-grandchildren, Ricky and A'Leeah Chambers.

Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Watson officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014 and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11:00 a.m., committal service.
