Brooklynn Carol McDermott, infant daughter of Sheena Carol Martin and Vince Maurice McDermott, three months old, of Etowah, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at her residence. She was born on July 12, 2012.Survivors other than her parents include two brothers, Malachi Maleek Martin and Jeremiah Mitchell McDermott; her grandparents, David and Clorette Martin of Englewood, and Frankie and Mary Williams of Etowah; aunts and uncles, Jamie and Tammy Martin of Knoxville, Alicia McDermott of Etowah, and Josh Williams of Etowah.

Dear Momma and Daddy,

Please don't be sad. I miss you all so much, too. It's beautiful here where I am, and I'm not worried about you. I sleep with angels watching me. There's only love up here and I'm never lonely or afraid, because God's so very near. I walk with Jesus every day; he is very kind and sweet. Don't worry Mom and Dad; he holds my hand when we cross a golden street. I never cry or hurt, I see Grandma every day. I play and laugh and sing a lot and I hear you both when you pray. Please don't be mad at God you see, because he loves me, too. And even though you are not with me I'm really still with you. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at McMinn Memory Gardens with Pastor Scott Cardin and the Rev. James Parris officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
