Carless C. Wall, 67, of Englewood, died Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center. A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Clarence and Bina Moses Wall. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service, and had worked for Jones Printing in Chattanooga for 26 years. He was an active member of Englewood United Methodist Church where he served on various committees. He was a charter member of Cleveland Community Chapel. He loved his church and his God. He was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Willard and Trixie Reid, and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Reid. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Darlene Reid Wall of Englewood; two sons, Michael Wall and Jacob Wall, both of Englewood; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam and Josie Wall of Nashville and Lonas "Cuckle" and Peggy Wall of Etowah; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Clara and Joe Caruthers of Etowah and Alta and John Gambill of Mt. Harmony; four brothers-in-law and spouses, Jerome and Billie Reid, W.A. and Sue Reid, Delbert Reid and Marty Reid, all of Englewood; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Gene Key of Cleveland, and Maxine Jenkins of Etowah. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010 in the South Chapel with the Rev. Richard Tallent and Pastor Tazz Reid officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Mars Hill Cemetery at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2010 for the committal service. Michael Wall, Jacob Wall, Kevin Caruthers, Thomas Gambill, Mitchell Gambill, Scott Wall, Steve Wall and Chuck Reid will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jane Flowers, Caycie Crofts, Cindy Bivens, Joan Cochran, Susan Derrick, Becky Tallent and Della Sue Middleton.
