Carol J. Harris, age 77, of Etowah, TN passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at NHC of Athens in Athens, TN. She was of the Baptist faith and is preceded in death by her mother, Ella Irene Bearfield; grandparents, Charlie and Ora Coleman; brother, F.D. Bearfield; and sister, Martha Joan Bearfield.

Survivors include daughter, Doris S. Parris of Athens, TN; son and daughter-in-law, John H. and Sherry L. Harris of Athens, TN; grandchildren and spouse, Tamaya J. Parris, Latasha J. Parris, Lashawna N. Lenoir, Brady H. and Loni K. Harris, and Alexandra H. Harris; great-grandchildren, William K. Lenoir, Amani N. Sanders, Journee N. Johnson, and London M. Stone; sisters, Eleanor Long, Margaret Pickett, Edna Roberts, and Kay Bearfield; brothers, William Bill" Bearfield and George "Bud" Bearfield; special uncle, John Coleman; special friends, Mary Ruth Womac and Kathy Ratledge.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m., to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2015 and proceed to Etowah Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m., committal service. Brady Harris, Kylan Lenoir, Tamaya Parris, Ray Stone, John McDermott, and William Bearfield will serve as pallbearers.
