Carole Margaret Young, 68, of Riceville, TN, went to be the Lord, Monday, September 16, 2013 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Daughter of the late Bill and Gloria Thomas and was preceded in death by her husband, Claude "Garfield" Young; and brother, Bruce Thomas. She worked as a volunteer art teacher at Etowah City School for 34 years.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Michael and Kathy Young; grandchildren, Christy Michele Young and Jessica Dawn Young; great-grandchildren, Eden Benjamin Everett and Kylie Michele Scroggins; 1 brother, George Thomas; and 1 sister, Ellen Keeler.Memorial service will be held at a later date. No formal visitation will be held.
