Carolyn Ruth Armstrong, age 85, of Etowah, TN, passed away Monday, November 5, 2012, at her residence. She was a member of the Grace Cathedral Church in Akron, OH and was a daughter of the late Curtis and Agusta Radford. Carolyn loved God, her family, the outdoors and gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; brothers, Vernon and Raymond Radford; and sisters, Grace June Plott, Merlene Buckner, Blanche Cain and Lois Hair. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Clifford E. Armstrong, Etowah, TN; daughters and sons-in-law, Connye Gazaway, Cartersville, GA, Patsy and Pete Taylor, Resaca, GA, and Amber and Bobby Banks, Etowah, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Laura Armstrong, Etowah, TN; grandchildren, Deonda Scoggins, Jesslyn Jackson, Anthony Bonds, Ryan Armstrong, Leslie Armstrong, Alexandria Carolyn "Lexi" and twin brother, Tyler Keegan Williams and Chelsea Faith Banks; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Etowah Cemetery with Pastor Russ Maples officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
