Charles Albert Burris, age 56, a native and resident of Etowah, TN, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at his residence. He was the son of Ethelene Burris and the late Fred Burris. Charles was a member of Goodsprings Baptist Church. He retired from M&M Mars after 30 years of service, and was presently working at Denso as a potting operator. He is preceded in death by his father listed above; and granddaughter, Leila Jade Dillard.

Survivors include his wife, of 35 years, Tammy Tudor Burris of Etowah, Daughters: Sera Jayne Burris and Amanda Susanne McKay, Granddaughter: Kaylee Rae McKay, Step-Granddaughter: Olivia Marteal McKay, Mother, Ethelene Burris, Father-in-Law, James Tudor, 2 brothers and sister-in-law, Johnny and Justine Burris and Tommy Burris, and several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Betty Anne Robinson of Etowah.

Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 17, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Rev. Hoyt Melton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2016 at the funeral home and proceed to Goodsprings Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.

Chris Burris, Curt Brackin, Quay Loveday, Keith Loveday, Kenny Loveday, Kurt Loveday will serve as pallbearers.
