Charles Pickel, 92, of Englewood, TN, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He served in the Air Force for 26 years where he was a CMSGT, the Chief Flight Engineer of the 76 Squadron in the 437th Air Lift Command in Charleston, SC. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked 18 years for the L&N, CSX Railroad.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Zee Ellen Pickel; daughter, Debora "Debby" Allen.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Anita Kay and Marvin Preast; son and daughter-in-law, Charles "Chuck" and Donna Pickel; three grandchildren, Erika Stroud, Amanda Miller, and Daniel Preast; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2022 at McMinn Memory Gardens with Pastor Taz Reid officiating.
