Charles "Pete" Sawyer, 76, of Etowah, TN passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

Pete was a McMinn County resident for over 50 years. In his free time, he enjoyed taking walks around Etowah with his cowboy hat and walking stick.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Dorothy Sawyer; sister, Dorothy Brogan; granddaughter, Kayla Breanna Jones

He is survived by his previous wife of 45 years, Rosa "Geneva" Sawyer; children and spouses, Tom and Leslie Sawyer, Jenean and Joe Baker, Jenette and Rick Keller; grandchildren, Tyler Sawyer and Lisa Munoz, Levi, Ryan, Nikki, Angel Smith, Mikey Jones; great-grandchildren, Ivy and Akilah Mooney, Peyton Munoz; sister, Joanne Camp; brother, Donald Sawyer; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2023, in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.

Family and friends will assemble at McMinn Memory Gardens Tuesday, May 16, 2023, for the 11:00 a.m. graveside service with Rev. Tyrone Johnson officiating.
