Charles Thomas "Tommy" White, age 67, of Englewood, TN, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was the son of the late Thomas and Martha Pemberton White.He is preceded in death by his parents, listed above and brother, Timothy Harold White.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving his country in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed going to antique car shows. Tommy was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He was also known to his railroad buddies as "Big Bird". He thoroughly enjoyed hauling cars and keeping the roads hot for Charlie and Scott Cass.

Survivors include wife of 47 years, Annette White of Englewood, TN; children, Michelle Rochefort of Etowah, TN, Cindy and Josh Buchanan of Athens, TN, and Courtney Jarvis of Athens; Grandchildren, Chance Cooper, Sadie Burke, Lainey Buchanan, Wesley Buchanan, and Cadence Rochefort; Brother,Anthony Lee White of Johnson City, TN; 3 nieces; 1 nephew; Long time and close friends, Jackie Carpenter of Macon, GA and Joe Dalton of Etowah, TN.

Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2016 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Minister Louis Rouse and Dr. Jimmy McCarter officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble Friday, May 13, 2016 at McMinn Memory Gardens for the 11:00 a.m. committal service with military honors.
