Chris Runion, 74, of Athens, TN passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

He was a Veteran of the United States Marines. He served in Vietnam, Company B First Battalion, (walking dead). He was of the Church of God faith. He was a loving and caring man. In his free time, he enjoyed playing his guitar and loved music. Most of all, he loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Norman Runion; sisters, Wanda Runion and Linda Vallejo.

Survivors include his loving wife, Evelyn Runion; children and spouses, Marsha Cook, Lester and Susan Raby, Nina Martin, Elizabeth Raby; grandchildren, Maranda Gross (Jaccob), Hannah Cook (Alex Zapata), Blake Cook, Brandon Raby, Savannah Standridge (Aaron), Christina Morgan (Will), Sam Raby (Carol), Joy West (Patrick Cochran); great-grandchildren, Jackson Zapata, Christopher Morgan, William Morgan, James Morgan, Averly West; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2022 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Ellis officiating. Interment will follow the service in Green Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Friday prior to the service.
