Christine Leona Wilson, 83, of Etowah, died Monday, July 18, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones whom she loved very much and devoted her life to. A native of Englewood, she lived in Etowah for the past 60 years. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Morgan Manufacturing. A daughter of the late Arle F. and Carrie Mae Ball Price, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Wilson; one daughter, Joyce Wright; and two brothers, J.B. Price and Hugh Price. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister to her family. She was a true blessing and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Wilson Davis and Rick Davis of Etowah; six sisters, Irene Coburn of Murfreesboro, Ovida Middleton and Delores Massengil, both of Englewood, Reba McGinnis of Knoxville, Betty Faye Wampler of Missouri, and Frances Johns of Spencer; two brothers, Kenneth L. Price of Cleveland, and Ray Price of Athens; six grandchildren, Kristie Green, Keith Davis and Kimberly Atwell, all of Etowah, Shannon Wright and Robin Powers, both of Riceville, and Julie Bates of Benton; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy McCarter officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday and will proceed to Cochran Cemetery in Englewood for the 11 a.m. burial. Pallbearers will be Keith Davis, Jesse Davis, Shannon Wright, Payden Green, Al Middleton and Ray Price. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Powers and Bill Massengil. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
