Christine Wood, 80, of Delano, TN passed away, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Memorial Hospital, Chattanooga. A member of Friendship Baptist Church and Linsdale Community Service Center, West Polk Fire and Rescue #7and the daughter of the late Walter and Marie McDonald. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Paul Orvil Wood; brother, Walter Lee McDonald Jr.; sisters-in-law; Nancy Smith McDonald and Ruby Parks.

Christine loved her church, avid walker, loved to walk with her dog, loved bluegrass, she went to many festivals, and she loved to camp. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was loved by everyone that knew her in the community. Christine lived the last 6 months with her caring daughter, Darlene.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and William Schenck; son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Jennifer Wood; sister, Geraldine Warren; grandchildren, Melissa Wood, Blake and Jennifer Wood, Matthew and Hye Schenck; one special great-granddaughter, Maddie Paul Schenck; nieces and nephews, Anthony and Debbie McDonald, Arron McDonald, Phyllis and Darrell Parks.

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in the South Chapel, of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Hatcher officiating.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m., to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble at Benton Memorial Gardens, Wednesday, August 6, 2014 for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
