Christopher Dale Casteel, 52, of Benton, TN formally of Etowah, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 along with his wife, Jennifer Casteel.

Chris was a member of Eastview Baptist Church. He loved his family more than anything. He was the best dad and papaw anyone could ask for. He was also a wonderful husband, son, brother and friend. His passion was baseball; a true Braves fan, even through the rotten years! To know Chris was to love him, he would light up a room. He also enjoyed karaoke; he was famous for belting out some Ice Ice Baby, no monitor needed for the words. He will also be missed by many of his co-workers. He was a good and honest leader. So, until we meet again, fly high #16! Spread those wings and fly!

Preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Charlotte Casteel; grandparents, Milburn and Mattie Casteel, Charlie and Florence Hale, Stephanna Hale.

Survivors include children, Lexi Casteel (Dylan), Lynsi Tuck (Dakota), Khya Sneed (Cody), Aleah Allen, and Trey Allen; grandchildren, Lake Bledsoe, Easton Carey, Phoenix Tuck, Hendrix Tuck; sister, Susan Breen (Robert); nephew, Charlie Durance.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Johnson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday prior to the service.

Interment will follow the service in Conasauga Cemetery

Shannon Nelson, Steve Eddington, Jerry Buckner, Chris Cooley, Bo Stiles, Wayne White, Stacy Casteel, Cody Sneed, Trey Allen, and Junior Akens will serve as pallbearers.
