Clara Elizabeth Caruthers, 77 of Athens, TN went to be with the Lord on October 22, 2018 surrounded by family and friends. She was the daughter of the late William Clarence and Bina Dell Wall.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Joe Douglas Caruthers, Jr. of Coleman, FL; also one brother, Carlos Wall.

Survivors are their only son together Anthony Kevin Caruthers and his wife, Amy of Athens, TN; two stepsons, Joe D. Caruthers III and William Clifford Caruthers of Pensacola, FL; her beloved grandchildren, Anthony Tyler Caruthers, Whitney Erin Caruthers, Bailey Kathlene Robinson and her husband, Aaron and Zeke Anderson; one sister and her husband, Alta and John Gambill of Athens, TN; brothers, Sam Wall and his wife, Josie of Nashville, TN, Lonas Wall and his wife, Peggy of Athens, TN and Darlene Wall of Englewood, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Clara was a 42 year employee of Choate Printing Company; a member of Wesleyanna United Methodist Church and will be laid to rest there next to her husband.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. John Crabtree officiating.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble Thursday, October 25 ^th at Wesleyanna Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.
