Clarence "Red" Thomas Harris, 93, of Englewood, TN passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 14, 2014. Clarence owned and operated Englewood Repair Shop for more than 50 years. He was the first Stihl Chain Saw dealer in Tennessee. He was active in farming and raising beef cattle. In his retirement, he and his wife, Lula, helped restore Prospect Cemetery. He was the first president of their association and along with Ruth Brown and group of very good friendsworked tirelessly to maintain and improve the church, cemetery, and grounds. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Englewood and preceded in death by his loving devoted wife of more than 60 years Lula Jane Harris.
Clarence is survived by his loving daughter, Linda Wilhelm and son-in-lawDr. Martin Wilhelm of Athens, TN; one sister, Elizabeth Murphy of Englewood; special caregiver, Shawna Crowe.
Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014 in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 Thursday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2014 at Prospect Cemetery for the committal service.
