Clayton Lee Clendenen, 84, of Etowah, TN passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

Clayton was a member of First Baptist Church of Etowah. He graduated from Etowah High School and served in the United States Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oral and Bessie Clendenen; brothers, Wallace Clendenen, Ray Clendenen and Harry Clendenen; sisters, Betty Moses and Nadine Rayburn.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years Bobbie Jean Young Clendenen; son, Douglas Mark Clendenen; grandsons, David Lee Clendenen and Matthew D. Clendenen; sister, Peggy Clendenen Gaston; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private graveside service, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
