Clyde Sterling Rucker, 81of Athens, TNpassed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his residence. He was a son of the late Clyde and Fannie Sue Rucker.

Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jay and R.T. Rucker; great-grandson, Aiden Long

Survivors include his wife, Geneva Moses Rucker of Athens; son,Danny Ray Rucker of Athens; daughters and sons-in-law,Linda and Billy Shore of Englewood,Barbara and Richard Schultz of Oak Ridge;5 grandchildren,Crystal Shore-Sliger, Kara Green, Shanna Long, Paige Freels and Daniel Rucker; great-grandchildren,Alexia Shore, Adam Sliger, Callie Shore, Jordan Freels, Kaylee Freels, Lily Adkisson, Chase Green and Bryce Green; sister and brother-in-law, Benita and Jim Ward of Athens; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday February 26, 2017 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home.Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home withMinister Mark Littleton officiating.Intermentwill follow the service to Conasauga Cemetery.
