Connie Hershey, 91 of Etowah, TN passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024.

Preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Hershey; and her parents, Walter and Ema McDonald.

She was a graduate of Etowah High School; and attended Tennessee Wesleyan College. She worked at Bowater Southern Paper Corp in accounting until she married in 1963. She was an avid cook and enjoyed a very active lifestyle until recently. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church her entire life and was a faithful volunteer at the Etowah Cooperative Food Pantry that is housed at Wesley Memorial UMC. She was active in the Etowah Lions Club until it's dissolution.

Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Hershey Miller; son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Jennifer Hershey; grandchildren, Max Miller and wife, Faith, Addison and Kate Hershey; great-granddaughter, Hayden Miller.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Bishop Aaron Pierce and Rev. Andrew Lay officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday prior to the service.

Family and friends will assemble Wednesday, May 22nd in Green Hill Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. committal service.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to Family and Faith Caregivers, (Chastity, Jessica, Issac, Pam, and Jane) and Dr. Craig Riley and staff.
