Coy Ward, 84, of Benton, TN passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

Coy was the owner and founder of Ward's Tree Service, the oldest tree service in East TN, serving McMinn and surrounding counties. For over 40 years, he was a contractor with Etowah Utilities. Coy was known for his caring and giving nature, which manifested through his work. He would often do jobs for free. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, particularly fishing. He was also incredibly talented with instruments, able to pick anything up and start playing.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Ward; sons, Adam Ward, Roger Ward; mother of his children, Joyce Ward; parents, Robert and Jessie Ward; brother, Junior Ward; sister, Glenda Ward.

Survivors include daughters, Denise Ward and Kristy Ward; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ronnie Ward, Joann (Trony) Brooks, Shirley (Bob) Powers, and Irene Ward; several nieces and nephews.

John Kincaid, Richard Poland, Bobby Martin, David Call, Tracy Miller, and J.D. Hollingsworth will serve as pallbearers.

Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Bordwine Funeral Home and go in procession to Cambria Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. graveside service with Rev. Doyle Lloyd officiating.
