Curtistene Evelyn "Curt" Thompson Crabtree Medlin, 95 of Etowah, TN passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Charles "Charlie" Crabtree; her second husband, Carl Medlin; siblings, Jesse, Callie and Sam Thompson of Etowah, Ruby Watson of Madisonville, Maxine Perkins of Ohio; son-in-law, Bill Berry of Atlanta.

She was a loop/seamstress for most of her life; she was an avid reader especially reading her Bible and newspaper, the family pet but most of all she loved her family; she was an avid Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy fan.

Survivors include her son, Edward (Vickie) Crabtree of Riceville, daughter, Brenda Crabtree Shugart of Avondale Estates and Billy Shugart of Atlanta; grandchildren, Marietha (David) Silvers of Calhoun, Edward Adam Vincent Crabtree of Riceville, Avonda (Keith) King of Hoschton, Patrick (Summer) Shugart of Lawrenceville; great-grandchildren, Emerald (Caleb) Leamon, Lakota Davis, Shakori Pirkle, Nadia Dotson-Silvers, Sydney Shugart, Riley Shugart Emily King, Madeline King, Roy Edward Laykin Crabtree; great-great-grandchildren, Trinity and Ryker Leamon; Betty Thompson Garrett, sibling of FL; Many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 10, 2019 in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev.  Eddie Rowland officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow the service to Jones Chapel Cemetery. Patrick Shugart, Edward Vincent Crabtree, Riley Shugart, Keith King, Austin Duncan and Caleb Leamon will serve as pallbearers. David Silvers will serve as honorary pallbearers.
