Dan Moody Lambert, Jr. was born September 22, 1957 to Dan Moody, Sr. and Katherine Lambert. Dan fought hard and lost the battle of cancer on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 when he went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Dan was born in Lufkin, TX and moved to the Smokey Mountains with his bride Carole Rule Lambert. Dan has two sons, Brandon Lambert of Knoxville, TN and Cory Lambert of Decatur, TN whom he loved very much. The sparkle in Dan's eye was brought on by his two grandsons, Whyatte and Maddox Lambert. Dan's family consisted of his sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Randy Boles of Lufkin, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Betty Peden of Jones Creek, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Jerry Oliver of Lufkin, TX; sister-in-law, Caye Stafford and Vern Redmile; sister-in-law, Charlotte Rule; his faithful companion, Jazz; and many nieces and nephews whom he cherished.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Henry Lambert; and brother-in-law, Doug Rule.

Dan loved his church, North Etowah Baptist Church where he served as RA and Awanas leader for many years. Dan believed one of his gifts was patience and that is why God let him work with children. He was formerly employed with HP Pelzer and Johnson controls of Athens, TN.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 28 ^th in the chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Wade officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.
