Dan Reece Vaughn, 70, a lifelong resident of Etowah, TN passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Starr Regional Medical Center of Athens with his family at his side.

He was a member of Conasauga Baptist Church and was employed at Excello and Textron in maintenance; he was a talented man with many interests.

He was a son of the late Barnie Vaughn and Lillian Vaughn Hayes and step-father, Arthur Hayes.

Preceded in death by his parents and step-father, listed above; nephew, Lade King; niece, Pam King; and sister, Mary Frances King.

Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Priscilla Faye Wilson Vaughn of Etowah; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Dan Vaughn of Etowah, Kenneth and Amy Vaughn of Riceville, Ronnie and Theresa Vaughn of Riceville; 2 granddaughters, Kristen Vaughn of Knoxville, Callie Vaughn of Riceville; 1 grandson, Josh Vaughn of Riceville;1 brother, Robert Vaughn of Chattanooga; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and James Ammons of Etowah; sister-in-law, Margaret Goodwin of Athens; step-brother, Bud Hayes; step-sister, Peggy Hayes Miller; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2015 in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Family and friends will assemble at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday November 10, 2015 at the funeral home and go in procession to Green Hill Cemetery for the 2:00 p.m. committal service.
